AoA Renews Project’s
Funding
The federal
Administration on Aging
renewed in October 2002 the
grant that has been the main
source of funding for the
New England Pension
Assistance Project. The
renewal is for two years at
$150,000 per year.
“This grant is our base
funding for the Project,”
said Attorney Ellen Bruce,
Associate Director of the
UMass Boston Gerontology
Institute and Director of
the Pension
Action
Center, of which the Pension
Assistance Project is an
important part. “It’s
gratifying that the
government continues to
recognize the value of what
we do.”
Other current
funders of the Pension
Assistance Project are the
Boston Bar Foundation, the
Massachusetts Bar
Foundation, and the
University of Massachusetts
Boston. |
